Divine Presence

I’d like to think that something is out there,

I’d like to know that someone cares.

I’d like to know that everything is under control.

But I know better.

.

Where were you God when:

9/11 happened?

People died for you?

Earthquakes killed the innocent?

Old age left us alone?

.

Jesus may have died for our sins,

But God, where were you?

Our lives have not improved.

The death-toll grows dayly,

Even as the birth rate grows.

.

This Earth of ours is bound for hell.

No need for Dante’s inferno,

People burn,

People suffer,

People die,

People starve,

People drink,

People cheat,

People lie.

.

There is no place left for God,

He has abandoned us.

Left us to our own devices.

Given up on the human race.

.

God,

You don’t exist.

.

    very thought provoking
personally i believe in some sort of higher being. chances are its a guy at a magic keyboard, which has a few small buttons like: plague, earthquake and all asscociated natural disasters, and the biggest button of all….smite..upon which there are several robots pressing it every second.
after all, if there is a heaven it must get pretty boring right?
