When is the main story being updated? It seems like all we ever get is unrelated stuff.
“The Inheritance: Afflictions” is not currently being updated.
Unrelated fillers are to keep you entertained! These may include links to other sites, poems or stories that I have written in my free time, band reviews or a rant on a world issue. Nothing like a good debate. At the moment, I’m also offering large amounts of information about my various Monash courses I am taking. The pattern says this will happen during most examination periods.
What is “Out of the Darkness”?
“Out of the Darkness” is my new novel, focusing on the life of an unnamed girl. I’m aiming to have it as a series of short stories, linked into a whole. Updates are dependent on reader generosity and comments. Some of you (most likely American readers) will know that this is also the name of a website for families that have suffered a suicide.
I noticed there is a series called “Sarah”?
Yes, that is also a novel I am writing, of basically the same format as “Out of the Darkness”. Ideas are currently coming from my dreams, and some encounters I have during the day. This will update whenever I write something new for it.
“ur writting suks!”
Well, thanks for the comment. Just a quick hint though, you might want to improve your own writing (it has one ‘t’) first, before you go picking on mine. Don’t get me wrong, negative criticism is good - you are never a writer until you have a wall of rejection letters - but it needs to be constructive. What exactly about my writing sucks (yes, that is a ‘u’, it is important for the word)? I need to know how to improve it.
Also, I’m not holding your eyes open with toothpicks (see “Mr. Bean’s Holiday”), duct-taping your mouth shut (see “MI:III”), or forcing you to look at the computer screen so that you can read. It is entirely your choice to enter my blog and subject yourself to my writing.
Oh, and for goodness sake, learn the difference between ‘your’ and ‘you’re’, not to mention spelling them correctly. This is not a chat room.
Who are you?
I’m a university student. I’m currently taking a full-time Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience, as well as “Religion Studies: The Long Search” through Open Universities Australia. As you can see, I’m going to be pretty busy. If assignments all pile up, I may not update.
Where is “The Inheritance: Afflictions” set?
In a fantasy world of my own devising! It is not in the style of Harry Potter, where the world is parallel to ours. It is more like the Lord of the Rings, in which I am attempting to create everything from scratch.
Why are your themes so heavily depressing? I don’t like it…
I want to attack common themes of today’s society under a fantasy setting, so that they can be more approachable. If I can get through to one person when they need it, then it will all be worth it. If you feel at all uncomfortable about this, by all means I am not forcing you to sit and read my work (see above).
Julia somehow acquired the elven language?
Ishton transferred basic elven into her head. Think of basic elven as like any other European language. The dialect spoken/thought by other elves is more Asian in nature, very complex and pictorial. It is very difficult for humans to learn, Blackmain was very determined in order to learn it, and it is not second nature to him.
